Wag-a-Bag Community Fund created at the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation
The Rabb Family, founders and owners of the Wag-A-Bag Convenience Stores, wanted to ensure that funds would be available for community projects and those less fortunate with special needs. By creating the Wag-A-Bag Community Fund through the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation, they have set aside funds for charitable giving. The Foundation will be responsible for receiving charitable requests on Wag-A-Bag's behalf and will work with Nancy and Cary Rabb and the Wag-A-Bag Board of Directors to invest these dollars effectively. The Foundation will manage the funds to ensure that requested donations are supportive of local community needs.Virg and Nancy Rabb moved to Round Rock in 1965 and started the Wag-A-Bag stores when Round Rock had less than 5000 residents. After Virg's death, Cary Rabb has helped grow the business.
When the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation was formed in 2004, Nancy served as the first Chair of its Board of Governors and now she and son, Cary, have established the Wag-A-Bag Community Fund. Working with the Foundation helps Wag-A-Bag give back to the community while getting the best return on their charitable dollars.
