Her husband is a general surgeon at Round Rock Medical Center and shares her desire to serve the community. They have three daughters. Shevawn currently spends much of her time volunteering in the community for the Round Rock Caregivers, the Round Rock Serving Center, Round Rock Woman's Club, the Williamson County Medical Alliance and the Chaparral Woman's Club. Shevawn also teaches confirmation at First United Methodist Church in Round Rock and enjoys attending Bible studies there. She is a founding member and Secretary of the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation.
"I am a volunteer at heart and knew that being a part of the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation would allow me to help others in a special way. I feel that any time there is a group of people, such as the Foundation, which truly cares about the well being of people, then positive results will come from their efforts to help others."
