PEOPLE & PARKS
"GIVING CIRCLE"
A "Giving Circle" is being formed through the Community Foundation called People & Parks. It is an annual commitment, and is designed to be as simple and uncomplicated as possible.
This Fund has been structured so that it is within reach of all members of the community. The intent is to provide a grassroots opportunity for the community to come together to invest in the Round Rock Park System. By combining resources, members can make a positive impact, show pride of ownership and continually help strengthen the Park System.
In order to be successful, the fund will:
1. Engage the entire community-men, women and children-everyone who lives or works in Round Rock. By banding together and pooling resources, the fund can make a huge philanthropic impact in this community that benefits all. This joint effort can provide a gigantic "bang" for the "bucks" put out individually.
2. Fund significant improvements to the Park System. There is never enough money to cover all public services at the level we would like. Quality of life is very important to a dynamic growing community like Round Rock-its citizens must help maintain a strong foundation in order for the park system to grow. During this past legislative session Texans heard about the deterioration of the State Park System due to lack of funding. As PARD updates its Master Plan, it is a great opportunity to show our support by investing in our Park System.
