What is the purpose?

The Greater Round Rock Community Foundation has as its goal: “To serve as a catalyst to nurture and inspire philanthropic giving”. Towards that goal, the Leading Ladies was created; a concept that is new to Round Rock.

What is a giving circle?

The Leading Ladies is made up of like-minded women getting together and enjoying each other’s company (and an evening “out”!) while expanding their knowledge of the issues facing our community and pooling our resources to address those issues.

Who are the members?

Round Rock’s Leading Ladies! These women are well established, well respected and are already personally invested in our community. Some have made their way to a “season” in their life that makes this the perfect fit for them as “requirements” of their time are absolutely minimal, while the potential for impact is great.

How?

Each Leading Lady writes one check for eleven hundred dollars. One hundred dollars of this is for administrative fees, while the remaining one thousand goes into a collective pool.

When?

The members of the giving circle meet quarterly throughout the year and then decide collectively how to donate those funds. The group gifted $24,000 in its first year to local causes including the Round Rock Area Serving Center, Capital IDEA and Hope Alliance.
