ARNOLD AND PLACEK MAKE GIFT TO GREATER ROUND ROCK COMMUNITY FOUNDAITON

Round Rock, Texas, February 28, 2008 - We are pleased to announce that Arnold and Placek, Attorneys at Law, have made a gift to the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation in the form of a donor advised fund February 28, 2008. Arnold and Placek have additionally committed to donating a portion of their profits to the fund each month from their practice which focuses on insurance and commercial litigation, and administrative and construction law.

Arnold and Placek has a tradition of giving back, and receives many requests for donations. In the past, they have found it hard to decide which appeals to respond to... and even harder to know if their company's charitable gifts made a difference. Because Arnold and Placek established a donor advised fund, the principals, Scott Arnold and Scott Placek, will make regular recommendations on how the fund is used, working with the community foundation's staff to target areas of community need.

"Our company values are what make us a successful business - and what motivate us to give back. It was logical for us to begin a Donor Advised Fund with the Greater Round Rock Community Foundation because it helps us find the best return on our charitable dollar - and if community needs change, our community foundation can help us respond more strategically. Working together on behalf of the community is what builds the kind of team Arnold and Placek depends on for success. Plus, we love to let the Round Rock community know that we're a company who cares," said Scott Placek.

According to Kami Barron, Executive Director of the Foundation, "Business leaders often feel overwhelmed by the number of requests for donations they receive... and unsure of how much of a difference their charitable contributions are making. When a business makes a gift to the community foundation, we can establish a Donor Advised Fund in the company's name. Your team can then work with our staff to suggest ongoing uses for your gift-targeting the issues you care about most. Approved grant awards are issued to charities in the name of your fund. Plus, your company receives immediate tax benefits in the year your gift is made. It's a simple, powerful, and highly effective approach to corporate giving."
